A Subjet I Enjoyed Studying this Semester

I think the subject I most enjoyed this semester was analytical chemistry I. Been truth between us, a big parts of the teacher was very nice and professional even in that new context of pandemic and the contents of the course was amazing. Literally I felt as a detective reading problems and finding solution from tables of compounds and reactions in qualitative analytical chemistry. For that we found clues from small text of a sample and we needed to give the exactly principal compound using a lot of reaction tables.

During this course we studied how to develop with different technics and scientific materials for study diverse compound with specifics properties a problematics to clear that and bring a specific solutions. For example, one of the principal contents was how to find a concentration from a sample using different methods by titration or how the medium and its properties allow you to control a measurable chemical property from a specific compound.

An Expert On My Field

Cristian Wilson is a doctor in biochemistry, professor at the University of Chile, son of a medical technologist, Cristian discovers through a paper that his mother owned Tito Ureta that his current profession was what he wanted to study who would be one of his professors. National score in science and history, Wilson enters the University of Chile and after several years manages to take one of the courses of the author of the paper that took him where he was, but not only did he become a pupil of it, but he also became something of his heir, as Ureta left him his papers, his plates (which he used to make classes) and even his book in which he wrote down all his ideas and questions.
The reasons I admire him so much are many, but especially I do it because everything he sets out to achieve with a lot of effort and perseverance, that’s why he achieved what I mentioned earlier, in addition to working with the now Nobel laureate Randy Sheckman or being able to build the optical clamps to carry out his work, since he did not receive any financial aid to do so. Not to mention his "scientific accident," by which he found how to see DNA without the need for dyes or lights like UV. For that, and for how close you are and how you are I admire Professor Cristian Wilson.
At the photo you can see proffesor Cristian Wilson (second from left to right) with classmates of my generation. As a super important curiosity, is thas first girl at left is my super best friend Catalina (Paci) uwu.

A Photograph I Like

Masashi Wakui is a Japanese photographer that take some beautiful and amazing photos during the Tokyo's night.
I chose my 2 favorite photos of this photographer (because I can't decide). First, we have some people walking on the street of Tokyo under a rainy night. Besides, we can see a lot of different stores light is streaming on the environment, and this get a new atmosphere with beautiful colors.
Besides, we have some cars parked at right and next a car with its headlights on. Around the photo we can see different buildings with different styles giving a personality to the atmosphere and an asynchrony perspective. These factors turns into a constant in anywhere, either on street during the night or a small alley.
In addition of that, when I saw this photographer’s work, I immediately remembered Studio Ghibli’s film like Spirited Away or Howl’s Moving Castle.

Maybe I like this kind of photos because I always lived in a city and I really like that. Besides, I must admit my love for Japan.

My Best Friend

The truth is I don't have a best friend because when I was in the school 7 years ago I met a group of friends which are 7 people and all of those are best friend. We have shared a lot of different moment and experience like travels, parties, games and chats.
Actually, I don't speak too much with them and maybe I am a bad friend that is why haha. However, we don't care if someone in the group don't talk too much or we don't know what the other doing is because these situations doesn't broke our reliance. Even if we are far of each one, we are waiting the moment to meet us again an have a nice day.

My Favorite Piece of Technology

Hi, it´s me again. Today I want to talk about my favorite pieces of technology.

Since I was a child, I love technology and different machines as mobiles, personal computers, servers or drones. I like to think every day we can improve and develop better a more powerful technologies with less space than before, it’s truly amazing.

If I need to choose my favorite piece of technology, I am a hundred percent sure I will choose a PC because that let me find information, books, movies, series, music, games, knowledge and I can talk with friend or meet somebody that lives in the other part of the world with only a click of distance using my PC. In summary, I can do a lot of different things using my PC and today for me is essential to have one. In addition of that, at 3 years ago I build a PC to play and study. I use my computer every day, but now only for study.

In conclusion, if PC weren’t existing, I am very sure humans will be backward because we accommodate our lives with the digital information, and in specific, with a PC.

Why Did I Choose My Career / Study Program

I always like to play sports, I remember since I was a child me watching the Olympics Games, on specific running events like spring or relays. Therefore, since I was a child, I want to become an athlete. Nevertheless, when I was 13 years old, I was diagnosed with a lumbar disease (LDD), that meant for me stopped to play sports.
Despite felt bad about that, I changed my negative thoughts in positives because I turn into a calmer and patient person. It means a lot for me because I began to think on what is around me or who I am, maybe that was the reason behind my decision to study biochemistry.
I need to say be calmer and patient than before don’t help me on what I want to be or study, since I have an interest in a lot of things so that I was very anxious in my last years on the school. This pressure helps me to spend more time thinking what I want to be and how I see myself in 10 years. So little by little I started to spot my interest in science, I become friend with my chemistry teacher, and we have talked a lot about different things. Besides, talking with her I realized the careers I wanted to study.
It´s right, I been closer to know what I want to be, but, even so I was very undecided in what career chose. Therefore, when I was 17 years old, I signed up in a science contest at the USACH (Universidad de Santiago de Chile), I spent a year studying how to make beer using yeast bread and honey. I met a lot of nice people and I made new friends, but the most important for me was finally decide my career. At this time, I was unresolved into chose between chemistry pharmaceutical and biochemistry but thank to this contest I could choose my career, biochemistry.
Today I am very happy studying the career that I chose, I enjoy learning a lot of different things that sometimes don’t have a directly relationship with my future and maybe in the next years I will be uncertain in what I want to work, but I try to be chill.
Besides, I know what I want to be, I want to become a researcher.
Finally, I think there's something that´s never changed since I was a kid and it's that I have always wanted to live doing something that makes me happy.

My Autobiography

Hello everyone. It’s me again Gonzalo. This is my first evaluated post of the semester and I have to talk about myself so that we can get to know each other a little better.
First than all I am 20 years old and I was born in Santiago. I lived in the center of Santiago for 17 years and when I was 17 years old I began to reside in Colina with mi parents and my grandfather. I studied in 4 different schools, two during my elementary period and two in my high school period. Now I am in my second year studying Biochemistry at Universidad de Chile.
I have two big brothers, Oscar & Pedro Pablo and 2 nephews of one of them, Rosario & Facundo <3.
In all my life I had two pets, the first was a Hamster, his name was Amigo (I know, I wasn’t very creative when I was a child xd) and my cat Saya. Amigo died when I was 6 or 7 years old (insert sad music) and my cat Saya born in 2017, now she is 3 years old and I love her <3.
To say more about myself, I like to study and listen to music, especially Lo-Fi. I like to play with my cat and read Scientifics articles. Besides, I love to play videogames but I think this semester I will not play anything because I only have time to study and sleep .
